Hedone is an independent production company that develops and produces strongly-voiced, distinctive, and often ground-breaking feature films, television series, and interactive projects. With successes like Danger 5, Infinite Man, and 100 Bloody Acres, under their belt, they required a unique and distinctive identity to anchor their brand in a highly competitive market.

Taking the name of Hedone, the goddess of pleasure, enjoyment, and delight, associated with sensual pleasure, gave us our idea for the visual identity. We suggested to the two partners of the business—who are also partners in life—that they have some fun scanning themselves over a weekend. We then took these images and created a series of compositions using overlaid segments of their individual body parts. The results were an intriguing mix of ambiguous sensuality, dark fantasy and anatomical horror.
